Week 9 Part B: Using Categories




My plan for this business is to stay inside of the pet categories as the market for exotic pets is still so minimal. To be able to achieve this, I will be joining fellow groups that have a similar love and interest for exotic pets. My husband and I recently went to a Reptile Expo in San Diego and was able to be among others that share the same love and interest. Events are another categories that I hadn't even thought about, but it's one of the best places to meet people inside of the hobby and potential customers. At the reptile show, we were approached by very well known businesses that have offered to go into business with my husband and I as far as selling our animals. Instead of our business starting fresh we would have the opportunity to become more of a wholesaler for well known shops and wouldn't have to do most of the leg work.     You could categorize your blogs into several groups, perhaps on category for posts related to the types of pets you have or will be getting. Another category could be "Pet Care" for all posts related to special ways these pets need to be taken care of. Off the top of my head I can't think of other categories but anyway, such a cool business! Very unique!

  Week 1A: My Template and Week1B:Blogs I Commented On After careful searching throughout the available theme's I noticed that almost all were aimed at a cheery and colorful side. The color schematics were not as appealing as this dark forest theme as I have always gone a different way in my life gravitating towards darker colors.   Week 16: Social Media Management Tools After reading through all of the awesome tools in the article we were given I still do not think that using these types of tools for my business is for me. Breeding and caring for the amount of animals that we have and also for potential future babies is something that I need to take into account financially. Until we have successfully hatched babies and seen the profit that we are able to get for them I am uncomfortable bringing in additional costs that we may be unable to afford.
