Week 9 Part A: Blogs, Vlogs, Podcasts & Webinars




After watching the lecture, I think that including a personal touch is so important because it helps people know that you are real people just like them. Posts can make people feel something when it has that personal feeling to it, like posting on a significant day in history that impacted peoples lives. It makes sense to include this in a post when it is has the intention of making people feel a certain way about your product. Using a personal touch I think is something that should always be included in posts, if potential customers are made to feel good about your product this can lead to an increase in sales. As far as using this in my business it would work in the aspect of showing pictures of family's with their new animals. In the other reptile businesses pages there is no sense of personal touch anywhere on any of the pages as the main motivation is to sell their animals, this is something that I would want to change as it's not only about the animals as without the customers we wouldn't be in business implementing a personal touch on my posts will be something I strive to do often.

  Week 16: Social Media Management Tools After reading through all of the awesome tools in the article we were given I still do not think that using these types of tools for my business is for me. Breeding and caring for the amount of animals that we have and also for potential future babies is something that I need to take into account financially. Until we have successfully hatched babies and seen the profit that we are able to get for them I am uncomfortable bringing in additional costs that we may be unable to afford. But if I was to use one of the tools it would have to be SocialPilot as it has everything that I could possibly need for my social media accounts and I like the fact that you are able to have up to 3 users. While my husband will not be doing any posting on our social media accounts it's nice that he would at least have the option with this service.   Week 1A: My Template and Week1B:Blogs I Commented On After careful searching throughout the available theme's I noticed that almost all were aimed at a cheery and colorful side. The color schematics were not as appealing as this dark forest theme as I have always gone a different way in my life gravitating towards darker colors. When I saw this theme aside from the fact that the colors drew me in the first thing that I think of while looking at this image is Halloween which has always been my favorite holiday.  Social media as a whole has come along with in such a short amount of time, while I was in High School the only platform that was available was Myspace and now we have several different platforms to use to connect with others.
